I recently had the privilege of sharing a devotional with my castmates and co-workers at Sight & Sound Theatres.
This is a devotional about the Levites that were not given the role of priests, since they were not direct descendants of Aaron, but instead were responsible for setting up, tearing down, and transporting the tabernacle and its accessories on the 40-year journey through the wilderness. This was a behind-the-scenes position that probably had very little fanfare, but ultimately without their service to the Lord the priests would not be able to intercede for the people and the people would not have been able to experience the presence of God among them. God has placed a unique calling on each person’s life and has equipped them with specific gifts. Some may be perceived to be more “glamorous” than others, but all service to the Lord requires the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish God’s purposes for His people.
