In this final installment of the “Walk This Way” series, Geoff discusses the role human sexuality plays in the lives of believers. Just as God created mankind in His image, God took woman out of the man (in essence from the man’s image) and brought the two parts back together in sexual union. Sexual intimacy was created by God as a picture of the intimacy He desires to have with His people. The way that union is accomplished is by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This is why Satan wants to corrupt God’s image-bearers by getting them involved in sexual immorality, and counterfeits the Holy Spirit’s influence using the intoxicants of the world. These are direct attacks on the image of God in an attempt to rob God of His glory. God wants to be united with His creation in a right relationship and He uses His Spirit to purify and sanctify His bride.
