Author’s note: When referencing “speaking prophetically” in today’s world, I am not referring to extra-biblical revelation, Holy Spirit fortune-telling, unfounded predictive statements or any other misuse of the term by the Word of Faith Movement or the Signs and Wonders Movement. Rather, in the sense of how the prophets of old spoke the truth of what God has/had said in His Word to be true. In this sense, speaking prophetically into someone’s life is in essence revealing Christ to them and in them.
